About The Position
Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring an Interventional Tech for the Cath Lab located in Norfolk, Virginia. Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- ARRT certification in Radiography required
- BLS certification required
- BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required
- ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- CI/NIR (Neuro Interventional Radiography) certification preferred or must be obtained
- Vascular Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification or experience preferred
- ACLS preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols
- Provides patient and family education
- Operates equipment safely
- Completes department documentation
- Maintains all equipment to be clean and operational
- Maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations
- Participates in departmental performance improvement activities
