About The Position

Sentara Leigh Hospital is hiring an Interventional Tech for the Cath Lab located in Norfolk, Virginia. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
  • ARRT certification in Radiography required
  • BLS certification required
  • BLS and RCIS or RCES certification required
  • ACLS will be required within 90 days of hire

Nice To Haves

  • CI/NIR (Neuro Interventional Radiography) certification preferred or must be obtained
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography (VIR) certification or experience preferred
  • ACLS preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs complex invasive interventional procedures such as diagnostic, therapeutic, and/or interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician while adhering to interventional and procedural policies and protocols
  • Provides patient and family education
  • Operates equipment safely
  • Completes department documentation
  • Maintains all equipment to be clean and operational
  • Maintains adequate supply of inventory for performing examinations
  • Participates in departmental performance improvement activities
