About The Position

This role is for a Certified Cath Lab/IR Technologist in the Radiology Department at Olympia Fields Hospital. The technologist will work full-time, dayshift. Under the general direction of a physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), the technologist will assist by scrubbing procedures or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Responsibilities include ensuring the procedure room is adequately prepared, monitoring instrument and supply levels, participating in departmental staff meetings, performance improvement activities, and training new staff. The technologist will also assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.

Requirements

ARRT-R and license as required by State or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.
Proficient computer skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab; preferred.
Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities
