Albany Medical Center•Albany, NY
•$84,783 - $131,414

About The Position

The Interventional Radiology Technologist III (CVIT III) is an advanced-practice cardiovascular imaging professional in Albany Medical Center’s Adult Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. The position works independently across core and advanced Cath Lab responsibilities, supporting complex coronary intervention, acute STEMI treatment, structural heart procedures, mechanical circulatory support, and other advanced cardiovascular therapies in a high-acuity regional referral and academic medical center. The role combines invasive cardiovascular skills with specialized expertise in radiologic imaging, radiation safety, image quality, and dose optimization. The CVIT III provides direct patient care and serves as an advanced clinical resource to the multidisciplinary team. The technologist participates in orientation and precepting of developing technologists and students by providing clinical guidance, procedural oversight, and support for competency development. The position also offers continued opportunity to develop expertise across complex cardiovascular procedures, imaging technologies, structural heart interventions, and evolving cardiovascular therapies. The position requires participation in the emergency on-call rotation and independent service as an experienced member of the team during STEMI and other time-sensitive cardiovascular emergencies. The role may involve access to sensitive information, including HIPAA-protected health information, which must be accessed and disclosed only as needed to perform assigned duties and protected from unauthorized access or modification.
