About The Position

INTEGRIS Health is hiring a full-time, day-shift CV Interventional Technologist for the Cath Lab at INTEGRIS Health Southwest Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. INTEGRIS Health is Oklahoma’s largest not-for-profit health system and describes its mission as partnering with people to live healthier lives. The Cardiovascular/Interventional Technologist performs vascular procedures at a technical level that does not require constant supervision of technical detail. The role performs specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures and uses independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques to achieve diagnostic and therapeutic results. Age-related competencies are required. In the Heart Cath Lab, the technologist is responsible for interpreting diagnostic and interventional procedures so data can be obtained and entered into the CCSS database. Responsibilities include performing vascular procedures, assisting with reports and procedural documentation, developing policies and procedures and charge sheets, completing patient requisitions in a timely manner, transporting patients, maintaining universal precautions, administering contrast material as ordered, selecting equipment, and assisting physicians as needed.

Requirements

Successful completion of an Allied Health postsecondary education program that is patient-care related, or equivalent experience.
ARRT-R (Radiography) or LP (Licensed Paramedic).
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 90 days of hire.
Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Perform vascular procedures independently with regard to technical quality.
Perform specialized cardiac, vascular, or interventional procedures using independent judgment to apply prescribed techniques.
Interpret diagnostic and interventional procedures performed in the Heart Cath Lab and obtain and enter data into the CCSS database.
Assist in completing reports and other procedural documentation.
Assist with development of policies and procedures and charge sheets.
Complete patient requisitions in a timely manner.
Transport patients.
Maintain universal precautions.
Administer contrast material according to order.
Select equipment and assist physicians as needed.
Meet age-related competency requirements.
