About The Position
This is a travel Interventional Radiology Tech assignment in Los Angeles, CA, lasting for 13 weeks. The role involves performing Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and interventional imaging in a cardiovascular lab setting. Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or CPI certification
- Minimum two years of recent radiology/interventional experience
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and interventional imaging in the cardiovascular lab using fluoroscopy and cinefluorography.
- Operate imaging equipment, set technical factors, and produce digital images as ordered; manage filming sequences and image quality.
- Position and immobilize patients, prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure patient safety during procedures; administer contrast as ordered.
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures and monitor patient status throughout imaging exams.
- Mentor staff on technical skills and contribute to ongoing training and process improvements.
