About The Position

Join our Interventional Radiology team and play a key role in delivering specialized, image-guided patient care. From procedure prep to recovery, you'll help patients feel supported every step of the way while maintaining the highest standards of safety. This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, consisting of 32 hours per week and 8-hour shifts.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
  • Two (2) years of inpatient nursing experience in either Critical Care or Medical-Surgical units.
  • Current Iowa RN license
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within three (3) months of hire.
  • American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire based on market.
  • Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter – Child and/or Dependent Adult Abuse training within three (3) months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN) or Certified Sedation Registered Nurse (CSRN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, patient-centered care before, during, and after interventional radiology and imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with interventional radiologists, technologists, and the broader care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Assist with procedures such as biopsies, angioplasty, embolization, central line placements, and other image-guided interventions.
  • Administer medications, initiate and manage IV therapy, and support pain management efforts.
  • Monitor and manage moderate sedation in accordance with established policies and safety standards.
  • Serve in key procedural roles, including RN circulator and hemodynamic monitor, while documenting patient care and procedural data.
  • Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate education and follow-up resources for patients and families.
  • Monitor patient responses throughout treatment and adjust nursing interventions to support optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, process physician orders, and utilize clinical technology and electronic health records effectively.
  • Deliver age-appropriate care for patients across the lifespan, from pediatric to geriatric populations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safety, infection prevention, regulatory compliance, and professional nursing practice.
