About The Position

Carle Health is seeking an additional board-eligible or board-certified Interventional Cardiologist to join its expanding Heart and Vascular Institute in Normal, Illinois. Ideal candidates must be able to start in 2027. The role will consist primarily of Interventional Cardiology, with some General Cardiology responsibilities, and offers a favorable call schedule. The position is part of an integrated cardiovascular care program with physician-centered management. The growing team includes 2 Interventional Cardiologists, 4 Non-Invasive/Heart Failure Cardiologists, 1 Electrophysiologist, 1 CV surgeon, and 4 APPs. The practice serves a single hospital with strong Hospitalist and Intensivist programs. The system uses a fully implemented EPIC EMR. Carle BroMenn Medical Center’s Heart and Vascular program continues to expand, with a newly renovated open-heart OR suite and ongoing expansion and renovation of its cardiac catheterization lab suites. Carle Health’s cardiology providers deliver cardiac and vascular services to more than 40,000 patients each year throughout Illinois and Indiana. Carle Health is a not-for-profit organization, and the position is eligible for public service loan forgiveness. The compensation range is $700,000–$725,000. Actual compensation depends on factors including experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked, and compensation model. The community is Bloomington-Normal, Illinois, a family-friendly midsize area with schools, affordable housing, transportation, dining, arts, sports, entertainment, and outdoor activities.
