Interventional Cardiologist
About The Position
Seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for a Locum Tenens position in Gettysburg, PA. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient hospital services, providing supplemental coverage. The position requires clinical duties including hospital consults, inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterizations, TEEs, Echo Reads, and Nuclear Testing. STEMI call is also a requirement, with approximately 3 weeks of call per month. The patient demographic is adult cardiology patients, with an average of 15 consults and 3 procedures per day. The practice consists of hospital consults, inpatient and outpatient procedures, and general cardiology cases. Support staff is listed as N/A, but specialty backup is available. The hospital utilizes Epic EMR, and hospital privileges are available, including temporary privileges.
Requirements
- Active PA License or IMLC LOQ
- BC/BE (Must Be Truly Board Eligible or Board Certified)
- DEA Required
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical coverage including hospital consults, inpatient and outpatient cardiac catheterizations, TEEs, Echo Reads, and Nuclear Testing.
- Participate in STEMI call.
- Manage adult cardiology patients.
- Perform an average of 3 procedures per day.
- Handle phone consults and admissions.
- Conduct rounding.
- Manage a case mix of Interventional Cardiology, STEMI, and General Cardiology.
- Perform procedures such as Cardiac Catheterizations, TEEs, Echo Reads, Nuclear Testing, and Cardiac Windows.
