About The Position

We are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage at Verde Valley Medical Center in Cottonwood, AZ. This role involves providing clinical coverage in a hospital/clinic setting, focusing on interventional cardiology services. The position requires managing a daily patient volume of 8-14 consults and 18-24 clinic patients, with a case mix including Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, and STEMI. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, with potential weekend coverage. Support staff, including MAs, PCTs, Nurses, and PAs, are available. The facility utilizes the Cerner EMR system.

Requirements

• Active AZ license
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Hospital Privileges Required

Responsibilities

• Provide interventional cardiology coverage at Verde Valley Medical Center
• Perform hospital consults (8-14 per day)
• Conduct clinic visits (18-24 patients per day)
• Perform transesophageal echocardiograms (TEES) as needed
• Manage STEMI and other cardiology emergencies
