About The Position

This is a premier opportunity for a highly skilled Interventional Cardiologist to join our established team at Ascension Medical Group Via Christi. Lead life-saving procedures, benefit from a strong referral base, and utilize the full clinical resources of a robust, mission-centered health system. Join a highly-skilled and expanding cardiology team of 10 physicians (General, Interventional, and Cardiac Electrophysiology) and 17 dedicated Advanced Practice Providers. The practice setting is a mix of inpatient and outpatient care, operating out of a remodeled clinic space with close proximity to the hospital. There is dedicated primary cath lab access at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis, serving all 3 Ascension Via Christi Hospital locations. This is an employed position within a nonprofit health system with academic affiliation through the University of Kansas School of Medicine - Wichita, offering teaching and mentoring opportunities. The role requires performing a broad range of complex coronary and peripheral interventional procedures and collaborating with a highly experienced heart care team to advance our integrated cardiac service line. Ascension Via Christi St. Francis is a 429-bed teaching hospital with a primary cath lab serving all three hospital locations. It is the region’s only Level I Trauma and Burn Center. Located in the vibrant Wichita Metro Area, a major cultural and economic hub recently recognized as a top three U.S. metro in new rankings. It has an integrated referral network and is part of Ascension, a national nonprofit Catholic health system.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Cardiology
  • Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
  • Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology Fellowship is required
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Kansas Board of Healing Arts obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required
