About The Position

Tampa General Hospital and Tampa General Medical Group are seeking a highly skilled and collaborative Interventional Cardiologist to join the Heart & Vascular team. This physician will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on minimally invasive, catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, peripheral vascular disease, and other complex cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will be committed to clinical excellence, patient-centered care, multidisciplinary collaboration, quality improvement, and the continued growth of TGH’s cardiovascular service line. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-acuity, academically oriented environment that supports innovation, education, and advanced cardiac care.

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of an accredited Cardiovascular Disease fellowship.
• Completion of an accredited Interventional Cardiology fellowship.
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology.
• Hold, or be eligible to obtain, an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Florida.
• Eligibility for appointment to the Tampa General Hospital medical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care with a focus on minimally invasive, catheter-based diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients with coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndromes, myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, peripheral vascular disease, and other complex cardiovascular conditions.
• Demonstrate expertise in invasive and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Utilize strong clinical judgment and excellent procedural skills.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate within a team-based environment.
• Commit to patient safety, quality outcomes, service excellence, and evidence-based practice.
