About The Position

The Intervention Specialist will provide K–8 reading or math instruction to students in Marion County during the 2026–27 school year. The role is part-time, for 12–15 hours per week during the school day, and involves working during and after school hours. The specialist will use provided resources to plan targeted lessons, differentiate instruction, build an empowering classroom culture, and document student attendance, academic data, forms, and educational materials and supplies. Catapult Learning provides curriculum, training, direction, and coaching to support educators in their work. Personal mobile phones and laptops are not provided.

Requirements

Valid Florida teaching license; a Statement of Eligibility is acceptable.
Experience with K–8 grade levels in reading and math.
Ability to navigate online platforms for record-keeping and communication.
Background check and drug screening.
Unwavering belief that all children can learn.

Responsibilities

Customize targeted lesson plans using provided resources.
Maximize instructional time and meet student needs through pacing, wait time, and differentiation.
Clarify learning goals and help students make connections among lessons.
Use data to scaffold and differentiate instruction.
Engage students by establishing a clear purpose for learning, encouraging critical thinking and intellectual risk-taking, and fostering a growth mindset.
Help students take ownership of their learning and growth.
Establish clear routines and procedures that support student success.
Master new content in training sessions and demonstrate competency in content-area assessments.
Receive direction and coaching, seek feedback, and implement new methodologies to improve skills.
Maintain accurate records of student support, including attendance and academic data, student forms, and inventories of educational materials and supplies.
