About The Position

Santa Rosa Academy is hiring substitute teachers for the 2026–27 school year. The academy is a K–12 public charter school serving Riverside County through site-based, home study, and combined home study/on-site programs. Substitute teachers must hold a valid teaching permit or credential and must either have valid COVID-19 vaccinations or undergo weekly testing on campus. Employment is contingent on completing required pre-employment clearances, training, and identity and credential verification.

Requirements

• Current valid teaching credential, or CBEST or a waiver with a degree.
• 30 Day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Two current letters of reference dated within the last 12 months.
• Submit a resume and a copy of the teaching credential; include transcripts if available.
• Have valid COVID-19 vaccinations or undergo weekly testing on campus.
• Complete Department of Justice/FBI clearance and a background check.
• Provide a negative tuberculosis test.
• Complete Child Abuse/Mandated Reporting Training (AB 1432).
• Complete Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (SB 1343).
• Provide legal documentation verifying identity and any license or certification required for the job.
