About The Position

Performance Academies is seeking an Intervention Specialist for AkroTech High School to support academic growth and an inclusive, structured learning environment. The role serves students with IEPs, 504 plans, and BIPs through specialized instruction, co-teaching, accommodations, progress monitoring, and advocacy. The specialist manages and supports required special education documentation and meetings in accordance with state and federal guidelines. The school emphasizes whole-child education combining rigorous academics, daily structured fitness, and character education, with small class sizes and collaborative support from school leaders. The work schedule is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with attendance at staff and IEP meetings, professional development, conferences, and required trainings.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree.
Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist license.
Passed background checks.
Proficiency in IDEA regulations, data monitoring, and educational software.

Responsibilities

Deliver specialized instruction, co-teaching, and accommodations for students with IEPs, 504 plans, and BIPs.
Track student progress and advocate for student needs.
Write and update IEPs, ETRs, FBAs, and 504 plans in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Lead meetings for IEPs, ETRs, FBAs, and 504 plans.
Attend staff meetings, IEP meetings, professional development, conferences, and required trainings.
