About The Position

The Language Doctors, Inc. is seeking experienced freelance interpreters for on-site assignments in Texas. We are a leading provider of professional language services, connecting clients across various industries with skilled interpreters for in-person appointments, including last-minute requests. As our demand grows, we are expanding our network of on-site interpreters in Texas and are looking for reliable individuals in any language to support local appointments.

Requirements

• Professional fluency in English and at least one additional language (all languages encouraged).
• Minimum 1 year of professional interpreting experience (medical, legal, education, community, corporate, etc.).
• Strong punctuality, responsiveness, and professional communication.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel within your selected coverage area.

Nice To Haves

• Interpreter training or certification is preferred (not required for all assignments).

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, professional on-site consecutive interpretation (and simultaneous when applicable) while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Arrive on time, follow client/site procedures, and support the full appointment duration.
• Confirm assignments promptly and communicate clearly with TLD regarding scheduling, check-in details, and any unexpected issues.
• Adhere to professional codes of ethics, including impartiality and confidentiality.
• Complete basic onboarding steps and assignment documentation as required.
