About The Position

The Site Manager will report directly to the Production Manager and Event Manager and will be the main point of contact for all technical, logistical, and site related aspects of our outdoor forest walking trail. They will support all departments loading in and loading out the event, and will be responsible for working with the Production and Technical Teams on site to ensure that the site and venue are event ready. The Site Manager will also be prepared to manage any incidents, unplanned works and other situations as they arise and must be able to follow procedures set out by the Production Manager and Management Team.

Requirements

  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • Previous experience managing large outdoor festivals, Illumination trails or outdoor experiential events.
  • At least 3 years of previous relevant experience in a related industry.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds and work outdoors for the standard 10 hour workday.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Must be an effective communicator, team oriented and have strong leadership skills.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Visa/permits - The candidate must be able to work in the event country and achieve one of the following: (1) Already a citizen/resident in the country and is permitted to work. (2) Already in possession of a work visa/permit.

Nice To Haves

  • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Production Manager and our vendors to ensure the site is prepared each day for the required work to proceed.
  • Ensure that all staff and team members have the equipment and supplies needed to accomplish their tasks.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external teams regarding equipment rentals and returns, purchasing, scheduling, and local labor allocations.
  • Coordinate all deliveries onsite and ensure distribution around the work site.
  • Conduct daily H&S meetings, and follow all safety procedures and guidelines when dealing with incidents on site by confirming all staff are appropriately certified, trained, etc.
  • Implementation of the Emergency Action Plan and ensuring it is updated to reflect any local laws or regulations.
  • Assist with control of the site in the event of adverse weather conditions, ensuring all wind management and safety plans are adhered to.
  • Crew welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.
  • Ensure the work site is cleaned at the end of each day to maintain an orderly work environment.
  • Complete any other reasonably requested related tasks as may be provided by Fever.
