About The Position

This internship offers Master's level students in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling the opportunity to gain practical experience. Interns will co-lead group therapy sessions with licensed professionals, provide individual counseling to a caseload, and offer immediate support and de-escalation skills to students. Weekly clinical supervision is provided by an on-site LCSW-C. The program requires a commitment of 3 days per week, typically from 9 am to 3 pm, though exact dates are flexible to accommodate school requirements. Practicum students typically complete two 5-hour days per week.

Requirements

  • Advanced year Master's of Social Work students or Master's of Mental Health Counseling students.
  • Motivation to engage and learn in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Ability to use supervision effectively and seek out feedback to strengthen professional development.
  • Patience, compassion, flexibility and adaptability.

Responsibilities
