About The Position

This internship position in Food & Beverage aims to assist servers in providing prompt, courteous, and exceptional service to all guests. Interns will gain knowledge of fine dining service, menus, and beverage offerings while performing various support tasks.

Requirements

  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist servers in any way possible to ensure proper, prompt, and courteous service to all guests.
  • Maintain knowledge of fine dining service standards.
  • Become fully familiar with all menus.
  • Gain full knowledge of beverage offerings.
  • Perform station set-up and breakdown, including side-work.
  • Polish and clean glassware and silverware.
  • Prepare dollies’ underliners.
  • Stock needed supplies in side stands.
  • Clean coffee machines and prepare coffee.
  • Set up the tea station.
  • Ensure adequate ice supply.
  • Dust all tables, including table legs.
  • Receive rolls and place them in warmers.
  • Refrigerate milk and set up creamers.
  • Pre-set breadbaskets lined with napkins.
  • Pick up linen.
  • Check off and pick up storeroom supplies.
  • Set tables with clean, pressed linen, china, silver, and glassware.
  • Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.
  • Assist servers during meal periods.
  • Remove any extra settings.
  • Pour water for guests.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the restaurant manager.
