About The Position

The Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program offers students the opportunity to work alongside seasoned culinarians, gaining a 360-degree view of the hospitality industry with a focus on the Universal Culinary program. Interns will experience a variety of restaurants and service styles, from signature dining to fast-casual and special events, as well as our production kitchen and bakery. A unique aspect of this internship is the opportunity to present a dish, centered around a marquee event or specialty themed location, to the Universal Orlando Executive Culinary Team. This fast-paced role is ideal for individuals seeking to understand the full scope of a theme park culinary operation.

Requirements

In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Senior or above.
Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
A transcript is required upon application.
Valid Florida Driver’s License is required.
Must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university.

Nice To Haves

Preferred majors include: Culinary Arts, Hospitality Management, or similar.
Basic knife skills preferred.
Preferred previous experience in a full-service restaurant.

Responsibilities

Completes hands-on training within Food & Beverage to gain a holistic view of large-scale theme park operations.
Assists the Culinary and Bakery & Pastry Team Members getting exposure to multiple operations and styles throughout the resort.
Performs duties within different venues as assigned.
Presents a dish to the Universal Orlando Executive Culinary Team as a part of a final internship presentation.
Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
