  • A student majoring in sport management or related field

Responsibilities

  • Learn how to promote and operate sports leagues, camps, clinics, tournaments, and other special events.
  • Be immersed in the scheduling, execution, and day-to-day operations of the facility assisting in any of the following areas: Events and Operations, FEC (Family Entertainment Center) and Food and Beverage.
  • Have the opportunity to learn administrative details of a business, including human resources (staff recruiting, hiring, firing, records, etc.), payroll, profit and loss reports and analysis.
  • Gain valuable experience in the sports and recreation industry focusing on full-service entertainment.
  • Be cross-trained in multiple areas throughout the facility, such as marketing, human resources, event management, youth programming, food and beverage, guest services, sales, and facility operations management.
  • Complete a summer-long internship to gain real-world experience in sports management.
  • Accommodate any individual requirements (i.e., class commitments) with an intern schedule.
  • Help during special events and additional projects that are not related to their specific area.
