About The Position

This internship program offers students the opportunity to gain firsthand experience and understanding of Public Relations (PR) and its role within a major organization. Interns will be involved in daily information distribution, media pitching, coverage tracking, media management, event assistance, and brainstorming sessions. Additionally, interns will have the chance to shadow the planning and implementation of major tactical and event planning for campaigns and events such as Halloween Horror Nights, media FAMs, and new product launches.

Requirements

In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
A transcript is required upon application.
Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.

Nice To Haves

Preferred majors include: Public Relations, communications, or related.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Excellent communication skills (comfortable with communicating with others in person, by phone and by email).
Team player with a "go-getter" attitude.
Passionate and interested in learning about Public Relations.

Responsibilities

Develop various PR materials, including media alerts and photo captions.
Regularly update media contact lists.
Monitor Media & PR inboxes, including answering media requests in a timely manner.
Participate in brainstorm sessions for PR tactics and pitches.
Track media coverage and sentiment and provide summary reports to management, as needed.
Assist with implementing tactics and event planning, including broadcast shoots and media FAMs.
Other duties as assigned/needed.
