The objective of the P&WC Global Trade Operations Team is to ensure compliance to applicable regulations throughout the global operations network. Our mandate is to proactively identify, diagnose, and action any global trade issues within this vast, agile, and highly dynamic business space, whether local or international in the form of impediments, critical enablers, or implementations for seamless product flow. In a word, we bridge the gap between theory and the playing field. Our team supports compliance within all P&WC Operations business units in terms of Global Authorizations, Compliance Assurance, Talent Development, Operational Business Processes, and International Trade Compliance of business requirements for different business units such as Canadian Manufacturing, Engine Center, Operations Logistics, Facilities Engineering and Supply Management. The student working on this team will be mandated projects directly related to compliance in these areas. Scope of the project/Description: The student will have a great opportunity to learn more about the impact of international trade laws and foreign policies on business strategy. Whether you are studying international trade, business, supply management, law or engineering, this position will provide a platform to greatly expand your knowledge of the aerospace sphere at the international level. The focus will be on i) learning, ii) identifying potential issues, iii) individual and team contribution to select mandates. You will deal with ambiguity, complexity, and unknowns, with the end game having profound significance to global strategy and delivery performance. Work Environment: The student will work in a collaborative atmosphere with a team composed of professionals specialized in different disciplines having deep subject matter expertise and who support various Operations business sectors, such as Supply Management/Procurement, Operations Logistics, Canadian Manufacturing, Engine Center, Facilities Engineering, etc. The student must not be in a country other than Canada to participate to this internship.
