The NSE team at P&W is developing a new hybrid-electric propulsion technology that will significantly improve aircraft efficiency. By optimizing performance across the different phases of flight, it aims to reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions compared to a modern regional turboprop airliner. The NSE is a central component of the future hybrid-electric propulsion system and represents a critical product for several of P&W’s initiatives at the forefront of aerospace propulsion. Requirements

  • Be eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship.
  • Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable.
  • Pursuing studies in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure with competing and changing priorities
  • Project management skills
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Project management
  • Design, modification, and analysis of engine parts and test bench components
  • Preparation of engine assembly and test instructions
  • Preparation of part modifications for instrumentation
  • Monitoring the manufacturing of parts
  • Tracking orders and inventory of parts
