About The Position

Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) is a global leader in aerospace innovation, headquartered in Longueuil, Quebec. They design and manufacture next-generation aircraft engines that power a vast fleet of business, general aviation, and regional aircraft and helicopters. This internship provides an opportunity for students to enhance their technical knowledge of aircraft turbine engines, specifically concerning operational performance, proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and the development of associated solutions. The intern will work collaboratively with the team, seeking support from engineers, and interacting with various departments within P&WC, maintenance companies, and service centers. The role also involves working with different software and databases to link information and parameters for proactive trend analysis.

Requirements

• Be eligible to work in Canada
• Be enrolled in a Canadian university throughout your internship
• Be able to work on-site in the province where you are hired if applicable
• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Aerospace Engineering
• Good aptitudes in communication in French (spoken/written)
• Working knowledge of English to read and understand specialized instructions, plans, drawings and technical terms that may emanate from international organizations, as well as to write and sometimes communicate in English with customers, suppliers or international colleagues

Nice To Haves

• Knowledge of Python code
• Turbine engine knowledge

Responsibilities

• Analyse PT6E-series and PT6A reliability data: Hours and cycles of operation, symptoms and cause of event, the recurrence and potential solutions
• Analyse warranty financial impact, determine root cause to elaborate technical solutions with engineering
• Improve and standardise PT6E-series/PT6A engine maintenance manuals, including troubleshooting
