About The Position

This internship within the Universal Destinations & Experiences Internship Program focuses on Communications & Integration within the Global Technology & Innovation sector. The intern will assist leadership in developing and implementing internal communication strategies to enhance global connectivity and understanding within the Digital Technology group. This role offers a learning opportunity in internal communication, executive support, and the development of interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Recent graduates will not be eligible for this program.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required.
  • An official transcript may be required upon request.
  • Proficiency Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator
  • SharePoint required.
  • Strong writing and proofreading skills required.
  • Must be efficient in Microsoft Office Programs including, but not limited to: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities and organization.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to deadlines.
  • Ability to work autonomously and/or in teams.
  • Consistent attendance.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred majors include: Communications, Journalism, Strategic Communications.
  • Passion for technology and theme parks preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collects and prepares communication tactics that support the broader Digital Technology team, including town halls, weekly updates, email newsletters, leadership meetings, team initiatives, and more.
  • Supports ongoing initiatives such as executive roundtables, event planning, onboarding, and orientation.
  • Oversees maintenance of the Digital & Technology SharePoint site.
  • Supports the Sr. Manager, Communications & Integration with any executive support that may require design and communication efforts.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
