About The Position

Parkway Ford is seeking an experienced, full-time Internet Sales Manager to lead the handling of online and phone sales opportunities at their Pampa dealership. This is a hands-on automotive sales leadership role focused on turning digital opportunities into lasting customer relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to customers, coaching salespeople, improving appointment and sales conversion, and ensuring consistent follow-up from the initial inquiry through vehicle delivery.

Requirements

  • Automotive internet sales, BDC leadership, sales management, or comparable dealership experience with demonstrated results.
  • Strong phone, written communication, appointment-setting, and customer follow-up skills.
  • Ability to coach employees and improve sales conversion.
  • Experience using CRM reports to manage activity and performance.
  • Strong organization and attention to detail.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Nice To Haves

  • Tekion experience is a plus.
  • Relevant franchise experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee incoming internet leads, website inquiries, chats, and sales calls, ensuring prompt and personalized responses.
  • Verify vehicle availability, pricing, and applicable offers before communicating them to customers.
  • Establish clear lead ownership and follow-up responsibilities, ensuring inquiries receive attention throughout dealership operating hours.
  • Review unanswered inquiries, overdue tasks, duplicate records, and inactive opportunities.
  • Set and confirm appointments with clear expectations for customer visits, coordinating vehicle readiness and handoff to assigned salespeople.
  • Participate in customer conversations and collaborate with sales management to advance opportunities.
  • Follow up with missed appointments and unsold showroom customers, tracking opportunities through the entire sales process.
  • Ensure accurate appointment, showroom, sold, and lost statuses are maintained in the CRM.
  • Coach salespeople on phone calls, email, text, video, and appointment setting, providing specific feedback on customer communications.
  • Conduct regular training and practice sessions focused on customer questions, objections, and follow-up.
  • Establish measurable activity and conversion goals, reinforcing professional communication, accurate information, and consistent execution.
  • Maintain accurate customer records, notes, lead sources, and next actions in the CRM.
  • Review key performance metrics such as response time, contact rate, appointment set rate, show rate, and sales conversion.
  • Analyze results by lead source and salesperson to identify areas for improvement and review lost opportunities to identify process breakdowns.
  • Prepare daily activity summaries and weekly and monthly performance reviews.
  • Follow dealership requirements for customer consent, communication preferences, and data handling.
  • Monitor online inventory for accurate pricing, photos, descriptions, and availability, reporting any website problems or inaccurate listings.
  • Work with management and marketing partners to assess lead quality and campaign results, recommending improvements.
  • Maintain product and incentive knowledge for the dealership’s franchise.
  • Ensure a clear and convenient transition from online shopping to the dealership experience.
  • Communicate honestly about pricing, availability, and next steps.
  • Coordinate with Sales and F&I departments to support a smooth purchase and delivery process.
  • Resolve customer concerns promptly and follow through on commitments.
