About The Position

Mercedes-Benz of San Diego, a Penske Automotive Group dealership, is looking for Internet Sales Consultants to join our team and help deliver extraordinary customer experiences. As an Internet Sales Consultant, you will actively grow our customer base using world class web-based and CRM tools, and will support the entire sales team to ensure individual and departmental sales goals are met.

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to understand and follow work rules and procedures.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.

  • No prior experience or training is required.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Driving Record the meets insurance requirements and company policy.
  • Current and active Sales License, in states where applicable.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Actively grow our customer base using world class web-based and CRM tools.
  • Support the entire sales team to ensure individual and departmental sales goals are met.
  • Generate sales appointments.
  • Answer/forward communications promptly and professionally.
  • Schedule the first service appointment for vehicles sold.
  • Provide an unparalleled level of expertise to help customers find the vehicle they're looking for, including comprehensive knowledge of available products and services.
  • Understand and use CRM and lead management tools to accurately manage inquiries, update customer files, compile necessary reports and forms on a timely basis, and follow-up on repeat business.
  • Ensure that all dealership websites are up-to-date and optimized to attract new and repeat business, and reflect all current promotions and advertising.
