Internet DevOps Engineering Lead
About The Position
This position functions at a high level in all aspects of the position, serving as a technical resource for the Internet business department regarding website processes, deployment processes, and application performance analytics. The role focuses on identifying application/system inefficiencies and bottlenecks, and recommending design and performance improvements. Responsibilities include developing and recommending cloud infrastructure and operations strategies, preferably on Microsoft Azure, and researching current and future requirements. Ensuring system security through policy implementation and enhancing system functionality via scripting and automation are key. The role also involves developing and recommending code deployment and automation strategies, preferably using Microsoft Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise, and maintaining relevant documentation. Additionally, the position provides support and technical guidance to application developers, develops and delivers cross-training, and stays current with industry trends. The lead will oversee daily workflow and projects for the team, acting as a subject matter expert, fostering a learning environment, and mentoring team members. This role requires working with minimum supervision, making independent judgments, and assisting management with process and project development. Strong interpersonal skills are needed to establish and maintain effective business relationships. Flexibility to meet changing business needs and a willingness to take on new responsibilities are essential. The role demands extreme confidentiality and trustworthiness, and regular attendance is required.
Requirements
- Strong skills with Microsoft Environment web app and web services – required
- Experience with Windows operating systems – required
- Experience in analyzing, understanding, designing, and implementing new products, services, and utilities in the web environment – required
- Solid understanding of container concepts
- Experience with deployment automation and orchestration
- On Premise and Cloud experience leveraging GitHub/Azure DevOps/PowerShell
- Experience with Unix or Linux operating systems
- Development experience/skills – required
- Experience integrating software systems
- Must have an excellent understanding of RDBMS and database theories
- Ability to read and interpret documents and write reports
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Aptitude to solve technical and practical problems and make recommendations to technical test members
- Strong analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting Monitoring and logging tools – Zabbix/Grafana/Splunk/ELK
- Experience with and supporting Application Performance Monitoring tools – Similar to Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and AppInternals (aka. Aternity)
- Experience with and supporting Infrastructure as code mechanisms – Similar to Chef/Puppet/Terraform/Ansible
- Minimum 1 year as a highly performing Mouser employee (Internal candidates).
- Minimum 2 years prior work experience that is relevant to the team you will lead (External candidates).
- 6+ years experience in critical job functions of the team; can be a combination of internal and external experience.

- Acts as a subject matter expert for team job functions.
- Fosters a learning environment and mentors team members.
- Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
- Assists management with development of results-oriented processes and project management.
