About The Position

MaintainX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their DevOps team. This role involves scaling infrastructure across multiple regions and driving continuous deployment. The successful candidate will own the platform engineering function, focusing on developer experience, infrastructure reliability, and the systems that enable rapid, stable development. The position requires leading a team of platform and DevOps engineers, owning the DevOps roadmap, and partnering with product engineering and security teams to build tooling, ensure compliance, and drive infrastructure strategy across cloud, container orchestration, CI/CD, and observability. The role also includes hiring, onboarding, and growing a high-performing team, and providing clear visibility into team progress to engineering leadership.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Engineering management experience with a background in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Shipped production infrastructure, understand cloud-native systems, and can engage on hard technical problems with your team.
• Track record of measurably improving developer experience and platform reliability at scale.
• Strong communicator who can translate infrastructure complexity for product and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to hire and build high-performing technical teams.
• Comfortable leading teams that use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of their workflow.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with multi-region environments, infrastructure as code, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven infrastructure (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO270001 or similar).
• Experience scaling a DevOps function in a fast-growth SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of platform and DevOps engineers: set direction, remove blockers, and develop talent.
• Own the DevOps roadmap, balancing developer experience improvements, platform efficiency, and infrastructure reliability.
• Partner with product engineering teams to build the tooling and self-service capabilities that let them own their deployments.
• Partner with the security team to ensure compliance across our environments, and to offer a safe and secure platform upon which the development teams can thrive
• Drive infrastructure strategy across cloud, container orchestration, CI/CD, and observability.
• Hire, onboard, and grow a high-performing team.
• Provide clear visibility into team progress, risks, and outcomes to engineering leadership.
