About The Position

MaintainX is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their DevOps team. This role involves scaling infrastructure across multiple regions, pushing towards continuous deployment, and owning the platform engineering function. The manager will be responsible for developer experience, infrastructure reliability, and the systems that enable the company to move quickly and safely. The position is based in a fast-growing SaaS environment and requires a strong understanding of cloud-native systems and the ability to translate technical complexity for various stakeholders.

Requirements

• 4+ years of Engineering management experience with a background in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• Experience shipping production infrastructure.
• Understanding of cloud-native systems.
• Ability to engage on hard technical problems with the team.
• Track record of measurably improving developer experience and platform reliability at scale.
• Strong communicator capable of translating infrastructure complexity for product and business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to hire and build high-performing technical teams.
• Comfort leading teams that use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of their workflow.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with multi-region environments, infrastructure as code, and modern CI/CD platforms.
• Familiarity with compliance-driven infrastructure (SOC 2, FedRAMP, ISO270001 or similar).
• Experience scaling a DevOps function in a fast-growth SaaS environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of platform and DevOps engineers, providing direction, removing blockers, and developing talent.
• Own the DevOps roadmap, balancing developer experience improvements, platform efficiency, and infrastructure reliability.
• Partner with product engineering teams to build tooling and self-service capabilities for deployment ownership.
• Collaborate with the security team to ensure environmental compliance and provide a secure platform.
• Drive infrastructure strategy across cloud, container orchestration, CI/CD, and observability.
• Hire, onboard, and grow a high-performing team.
• Provide clear visibility into team progress, risks, and outcomes to engineering leadership.
