About The Position

UniSC International plays a key role in strengthening the University’s global engagement, cultural diversity, and international partnerships. The Directorate leads international marketing, recruitment, admissions, compliance, partnerships, and learning abroad activities. Within this context, the International Support Officer provides high-quality executive, governance, and operational support to the Director, International, while also contributing to the effective functioning of the broader International team. This is a highly visible and influential, external-facing role that serves as a key coordination point for the International Directorate, engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including international partners, government representatives, senior leaders, visiting delegations, and students. This role operates in a fast-paced and evolving environment where priorities shift quickly and no two days are the same. Success requires strong foresight, the ability to anticipate needs, and confidence working proactively across both planned and emerging priorities. It is a trusted partnership position, working closely with the Director, International in an open, collaborative, and transparent working relationship built on mutual communication, independence, and reliability.

Requirements

  • Completion of a degree, diploma or equivalent experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Experience in executive, administrative or operational support within a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with experience working with external clients or partners.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm, clear and professional under pressure.
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills, with the ability to anticipate priorities and manage competing demands.
  • Experience providing frontline customer or stakeholder support in high-volume environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement in decision-making and escalation.
  • Digital literacy across Microsoft 365 and related systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fast-paced client-facing environments.
  • Experience coordinating executive-level events, visits, workshops or stakeholder engagements.
  • Experience using workflow or project tools such as Asana.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-level executive, governance, and operational support to the Director, International, including proactive diary, workflow, and priority management in a fast-changing environment.
  • Engage confidently with a broad range of external stakeholders, including international partners, agents, government representatives, visiting delegations, and students, ensuring clear, calm and professional communication.
  • Anticipate priorities and work proactively to support forward planning, managing competing demands with sound judgement, flexibility, and strong time management.
  • Coordinate governance, reporting, and operational activities across the International Directorate, while supporting continuous improvement effective systems and exceptional service delivery.
