About The Position

The International Sales & Credit Analyst assists internal and external customers in the use of international banking services. This primarily involves supporting the international sales and middle office team through analysis of internal and external databases to identify cross-selling opportunities with existing bank clients and prospects, participation in sales meetings and related follow up, and analyzing the financial statements of foreign banks to assess credit risk.

Requirements

• Analysis of internal and external databases to identify cross-selling opportunities with existing bank clients and prospects
• Participation in sales meetings and related follow up
• Analyzing the financial statements of foreign banks to assess credit risk
• Assessing profitability, liquidity, asset quality and capitalization of foreign banks
• Assessing the country risk (including the banking sector of that country)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Knowledge of banking and FH systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide company specific reports to the international sales staff about the international banking activity of existing clients through review of historical bank statements and internal & external databases.
• Provide lead identification to the international sales staff through generating lists of importers, exporters and foreign-owned companies within specified geographical areas and/or industries.
• Updating Salesforce with client meeting activities.
• Participate in client virtual and in-person meetings to understand the nature of their international transactions and determine ways that the bank could potentially add value.
• Provide analysis of financial statements of foreign banks in support of letter of credit transactions whereby First Horizon Bank is accepting the credit risk of the issuing bank.
• Prepare standby and commercial letter of credit application forms.
• Participate in international department product training events.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
