As a Credit Analyst, you will play a crucial role in shaping the financial landscape by gathering and analyzing credit information for current and prospective borrowers, assessing creditworthiness for various loans. You will collaborate with loan officers to craft informed loan requests, maintain strong customer relationships, promote bank services, and refer clients to appropriate staff for tailored financial solutions. This role emphasizes stewardship and accountability, impacting both clients and the bank's success.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3 or more years of credit analysis experience
  • Ability to perform the essential functions, and the mental/physical demands of the job.
  • Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive while performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive analysis of business and personal financial statements, tax returns, and cash flows to assess creditworthiness and risk.
  • Assist loan officers in pre-qualification assessments and recommend appropriate loan structures, terms, and collateral positioning.
  • Conduct thorough background research, including credit bureau reports, industry peer comparisons, and market trend analysis.
  • Write detailed financial reviews and credit reports to support lending decisions and internal loan review functions.
  • Monitor commercial accounts for updated financial data and assist in the timely review and renewal of existing credit facilities.
  • Develop complex debt schedules and global cash flow models, ensuring all data is captured accurately from primary sources and guarantors.
  • Ensure all loan requests and structures adhere to Bank loan policy, federal/state regulations, and Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
  • Support the computerization of loan review functions and manage the credit analyst queue and relationship files efficiently.
  • Communicate clearly with customers to gather financial data and represent the Bank in community functions to enhance its image.
  • Complete all administrative tasks and stress-test analyses (including interest rate and property stress tests) with high accuracy and timeliness.
