About The Position

The International Pharmacy Intern role is for a foreign graduate of a non-US-accredited pharmacy school who has passed the FPGEE and TOEFL and is eligible to complete required US pharmacy internship hours. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the intern supports safe and effective retail pharmacy operations and provides patient care while developing the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for pharmacist licensure. The role includes a mixed-modality learning plan and curated learning experiences focused on patient care, practice management, leadership, and education. Interns must complete their required internship within 18 months and are expected to complete and pass required pharmacist licensure examinations and processes within 120 days after completing their US internship hours. Failure to meet these requirements results in removal from the role and separation of employment. The intern performs customer service, prescription processing, inventory, workflow, regulatory compliance, and pharmacy support tasks, excluding final prescription verification. Counseling and other pharmacist-related duties are performed under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist and within applicable laws and state regulations. Once state regulations are met, interns are expected to immunize as an essential pharmacist function. This is a full-time position with a typical pay range of $30.00–$42.00. Eligible colleagues receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
