The International Pharmacy Intern role is for a non-US-accredited foreign pharmacy graduate who has passed the FPGEE and TOEFL and is eligible to apply to complete required US internship hours. Under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist, the intern supports a safe and effective retail pharmacy environment and provides patient care while developing the knowledge and skills needed for pharmacist licensure. The mixed-modality learning plan includes a curated learning experience that applies the intern’s pharmacy knowledge and skills. The internship must be completed within 18 months, and required pharmacist licensure exams and processes must be completed and passed within 120 days after completing the required US internship hours. The role involves customer service, pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, inventory and workflow management, and patient-care programs. Responsibilities include processing prescriptions, supporting dispensing and counseling under pharmacist supervision, assisting customers, protecting confidential information, and contributing to pharmacy team training and development. The role excludes final prescription verification. The position requires an active Pharmacy Intern license in the state where the district is located. Pharmacist licensure in the state where the position is based must be obtained within 120 days after the US internship hours are completed. Failure to complete the internship within 18 months or obtain pharmacist licensure as prescribed results in removal from the role and separation of employment. The stated pay range is $30.00–$42.00. This full-time position is eligible for benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
