About The Position

As a Non-US Accredited Foreign Graduate, the International Pharmacy Intern completes required U.S. internship hours under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Candidates become eligible to apply after successfully passing the FPGEE and TOEFL. The mixed-modality learning plan builds on prior pharmacy education and develops knowledge and skills in patient care, practice management, leadership, and education. The internship must be completed within 18 months, and the required pharmacist licensure exams and processes must be completed and passed within 120 days after completion of the U.S. internship hours. Failure to meet these requirements results in removal from the role and separation of employment. The intern contributes to a safe, effective retail pharmacy environment and supports patient care programs. Duties include customer service; maintaining confidentiality and complying with laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures; processing prescriptions and claims; supporting inventory and workflow; providing permitted health care services; and assisting with pharmacy team training, scheduling, and operations. Prescription verification remains excluded from the intern’s workflow responsibilities. The role includes regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and may require lifting and moving objects within the stated force limits. The position requires a foreign pharmacy graduate from a non-U.S.-accredited school, a high school diploma or GED, a PharmD or equivalent pharmacist degree, and an active pharmacy intern license in the state where the district is located. The posted pay range is $32.50–$42.00. This full-time position is eligible for a benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, wellness programs, and other resources, subject to eligibility.
