Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern

CVS Health•South Boston, VA
•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health’s US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate training program gives foreign pharmacy graduates who have passed the FPGEE and TOEFL the opportunity to complete required US internship hours and apply their pharmacy education in practice. Under a preceptor’s direction, interns follow a mixed-modality learning plan, gain hands-on experience with pharmacy practice and patient care, build business acumen, and develop leadership skills. Interns must complete the internship within 18 months and be prepared to complete and pass all required pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days after completing their internship hours. Failure to meet these timelines or obtain licensure as prescribed will result in separation of employment. In CVS Retail pharmacies, the intern supports pharmacy operations and helps ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, while providing caring service to patients. The role involves learning and following standard operating procedures and pharmacy workflow, communicating effectively, and contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team environment. Depending on state law and required training, the intern may also support immunizations and other patient health care services.
