Foreign Pharmacy Grad - International Pharmacy Intern

CVS Health•Robbinsdale, MN
•$30 - $42•Onsite

About The Position

CVS Health’s US Non-Accredited Foreign Graduate program gives foreign pharmacy graduates the opportunity to complete required US internship hours and apply their pharmacy education in retail practice. After passing the FPGEE and TOEFL, graduates complete a mixed-modality learning plan under the direction of a preceptor, supported by hands-on experience, a training roadmap, Key Learning Experiences, and time with district leaders. Participants develop pharmacy practice, patient care, business, and leadership skills in preparation for a Pharmacist role. They must complete the internship within 18 months and complete the required pharmacist licensure exams and processes within 120 days after finishing the required US internship hours. In a CVS retail pharmacy, the intern supports pharmacy operations and patient care by helping ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately, and by providing caring service. The role follows pharmacy workflows, company procedures, applicable laws and regulations, and professional and ethical standards. Interns learn to work as part of the pharmacy team, communicate effectively, contribute to a safe and inclusive culture, and respond to patient needs under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist where required. The position requires regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends, and flexibility to meet scheduling and business needs. The intern may voluntarily travel to other stores in the market for shifts as needed. Where permitted by law and supported by required training and certification, the role may also involve immunizations, point-of-care testing, and offsite clinics. This full-time position is eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, subject to eligibility.
