The International Community Engagement Coordinator is accountable to the Specialist, International Student Programs. The coordinator is responsible for the overall development, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive and intentional programming targeted to international student populations specifically those with a Chinese background. The coordinator will function primarily in the areas of student experience, programming, event management, and administrative capacities. The coordinator works collaboratively with the International Student Experience team, the Marketing and Communications team, and the broader Student Success Office on issues related to international student experience. These include but are not limited to, research relating to: issues of Chinese student integration, engaging underrepresented student populations who are being targeted by external organizations, current student programming, best practices at other institutions, and developing and delivering intentional and engaging programming for international students. This coordinator will have three primary areas of focus: 1) conduct and summarize a comprehensive review of best practices/literature, environmental scan of the U15, and any other relevant data (including student feedback) related to current student programming and the Chinese student experience; 2) organize, coordinate, and lead the execution of all components of small and large-scale international student programming, including special populations (Chinese student populations); and 3) maintain positive and productive working relationships with students and key campus and faculty partners. The Coordinator will work closely with the Specialist, International Student Programs to execute their primary areas of focus.
