About The Position

Edmond Hyundai & Genesis of Edmond is looking for an experienced and dependable Internal Service Advisor to join our growing Service Department. The Internal Service Advisor will manage the service and repair process for dealership-owned vehicles, including new and used inventory, loaner vehicles, company vehicles, and vehicles undergoing reconditioning. This position works closely with Service Technicians, Service Management, Sales, Used Car Management, Parts, and other dealership departments to ensure vehicles are repaired correctly and completed as quickly and efficiently as possible. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, automotive-minded, and able to manage multiple repair orders while maintaining excellent communication and follow-through.

Requirements

  • Previous automotive dealership or service department experience preferred.
  • Automotive Service Advisor experience is a plus.
  • Automotive technician, warranty administrator, or dealership reconditioning experience will also be considered.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple repair orders and priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively with technicians, managers, and other dealership departments.
  • Comfortable using computers and dealership management systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage internal repair orders from opening through completion.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance for new and used inventory, loaner vehicles, and dealership-owned vehicles.
  • Communicate repair needs and priorities with technicians and dealership management.
  • Monitor vehicles throughout the repair process and follow up on outstanding work.
  • Review technician recommendations, estimates, and repair orders for accuracy.
  • Obtain appropriate approvals for additional repairs.
  • Coordinate warranty, recall, maintenance, and reconditioning repairs when applicable.
  • Prioritize vehicles based on sales needs, inventory requirements, and dealership priorities.
  • Communicate delays, additional repairs, and unexpected expenses promptly.
  • Work closely with Sales and Used Car Management to keep inventory moving through the reconditioning process.
  • Maintain accurate repair order documentation.
  • Help ensure all vehicles are properly serviced, safe, and ready for sale or use.
  • Coordinate with the Parts Department to help minimize repair delays.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workflow.
  • Provide exceptional internal customer service to dealership departments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Service Management.
