About The Position

Battelle’s Internal Audit team is seeking an Information Security Auditor to help assess cyber risk, strengthen controls, and protect critical systems supporting our global mission.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2+ years of IT or information security experience.
Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

Active or eligible DoD Secret clearance.
Audit, risk advisory, or internal controls experience.
Certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CPA.
Experience using data analytics in audit environments.

Responsibilities

Support data-driven IT and information security risk assessments to identify emerging risks.
Participate in IT, information security, operational, and compliance audits.
Perform walkthroughs, review documentation, and analyze system configurations.
Translate complex technical concepts into clear audit documentation.
Evaluate compliance with regulatory and security frameworks (DFARS, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR).
Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Prepare high-quality audit workpapers and draft audit reports.
Support special reviews, investigations, and strategic Internal Audit initiatives.
Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
