About The Position
The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center’s mission is to improve health in Ohio and across the world through innovation in research, education, and patient care. The team provides patient care and supportive services focused on positive patient outcomes, maximizing patients’ involvement in their care plans, and reducing hospitalization length. Staff nurses play a critical role in staff engagement, the patient experience, quality and safety, and cost-effective care. The Staff Nurse manages and provides care to patients and their families and directs and supervises nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The role is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
Requirements
- Degree in Nursing from a CCNE- or ACEN-accredited nursing program.
- Current Ohio nursing license or interim permit.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in a relevant care setting is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage and provide care to patients and their families.
- Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
