About The Position

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift for the Telemetry Unit. The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks, with ongoing evaluation of staffing needs. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within their scope of practice, direct and guide patient/family teaching, and oversee the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining high standards of care. The RN is accountable for the care of their assigned patients and communicates with physicians regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and symptoms. They must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition and treatment responses.

Requirements

Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.

Nice To Haves

Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
Ventilator Management experience preferred.
Medical-Surgical Nurse-Board Certified (RN-BC) or similar certification; preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in Telemetry Unit.
Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology.
Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
