About The Position

Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift for the Intensive Care Unit. The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks, with ongoing evaluation and potential adjustments based on operational requirements. The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within their scope of practice, and also direct and guide patient/family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining high standards of care in the ICU. The Registered Nurse is directly accountable for the care of their assigned patients, communicating with physicians about changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, and abnormal findings. They must be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or treatment response, and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

Requirements

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
  • Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Delivery of safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.

  • Directly responsible and accountable for the care given to his/her assigned patients.
  • Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition including hemodynamic monitoring, results of diagnostic studies and abnormal results and symptomatology.
  • Able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment.
  • Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.
