About The Position

This position reports to the Assistant Athletic Director for Events & Facilities and assists with the physical setup, preparation, manning, and teardown of athletics facilities (including Hinkle Fieldhouse) for practices, games, and external events. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven dependability and a strong work ethic to maintain critical facility and equipment operations.
  • Physical stamina to perform active tasks, including standing for extended periods, walking across facilities, and safely lifting or moving laundry bags and athletic equipment.
  • Flexibility to work a variable part-time schedule (10–29 hours per week), including day and evening shifts as required by the athletic schedule.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow specific instructions for facility maintenance and gear sorting.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Prior experience in facility operations, equipment room management, or athletic event coordination.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the physical setup, preparation, and teardown of athletic facilities (not limited to Hinkle Fieldhouse) for practices, games, and external events.
  • Help cover daily operational shifts and fill scheduling gaps during non-school months when student workers are unavailable.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and tracking gear and operational equipment in storage areas.
  • Provide general administrative and hands-on support to the Athletics Equipment Manager and the broader Athletics Administration team.
