Requirements

  • Doctorate degree
  • Master’s degree and 2 years of of corporate event management, ideally within life sciences or highly regulated industries
  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of of corporate event management, ideally within life sciences or highly regulated industries
  • Associate’s degree and 8 years of of corporate event management, ideally within life sciences or highly regulated industries
  • High school diploma / GED and 10 years of of corporate event management, ideally within life sciences or highly regulated industries

Nice To Haves

  • 7+ years of corporate event management, ideally within life sciences or highly regulated industries
  • 7+ years of meeting planning experience for large complex meetings and events
  • Experience supporting internal commercial or sales meetings
  • Strong vendor management, budgeting, and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with CVENT and hybrid/virtual meeting technologies
  • Strong communication and partnership-building abilities
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning and execution of U.S. Commercial internal meetings, ensuring alignment with strategy, compliance, and budget goals.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on meeting policies, planning, and best practices.
  • Manage outsourced suppliers to deliver high-quality, compliant, and cost-effective meeting services.
  • Build strong partnerships with business leaders and meeting sponsors to support business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence, standardization, and continuous improvement across meeting programs.
  • Support change management, process enhancements, and technology adoption initiatives.
  • Utilize CVENT and data insights for budgeting, reporting, compliance, and planning optimization.
  • Oversee supplier performance, resource planning, forecasting, and budget management.
  • Ensure consistent branding, documentation, audit readiness, and adherence to Global Meetings Policy.
  • Identify and implement efficiencies through automation, process simplification, and digital solutions.
