About The Position

Join Our IM Team at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH)! Are you a skilled Veterinary Technician with a passion for Internal Medicine? Join our dynamic team at Veterinary Emergency & Specialty Hospital (VESH) in a role that offers exciting challenges and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families! This position is a 50/50 split between both the South Deerfield and West Springfield locations Compensation: Pending skills assessment leveling Non-Credentialed Technician: $18 – $22 Credentialed Technician: $23 - $28 – Even higher for VTS! Anticipated Schedule: Four 9-hour shifts, Monday – Thursday Monday/Wednesday: South Deerfield, MA Tuesday/Thursday: West Springfield, MA About the Role: As a Full-Time Internal Medicine Technician, you will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, assisting with patient examinations, anesthesia, client communication, and more. You will have the unique opportunity to work at two locations, South Deerfield and West Springfield, expanding your experience across our internal medicine teams.

VTS (Veterinary Technician Specialty)

Responsibilities

Assist with patient exams, including safe animal restraint, patient history, and take-home instructions
Administer anesthesia, monitor patient recovery, and troubleshoot equipment
Communicate with clients about procedures, prescriptions, and post-care follow-ups
Manage appointments, maintain cleanliness of exam rooms, and ensure the doctor stays on schedule
Enter medical records, nursing care information, and charges accurately into the system
Oversee internal medicine inventory, tracking supplies and restocking exam rooms
Maintain a clean clinical environment, including equipment and endoscopic tools
