About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced Internal Medicine department. This role involves acting as a liaison between internists and clients, managing patient histories, care instructions, lab results, and patient updates. The technician will also assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, fill prescriptions, take X-rays, and obtain lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills are required.

Requirements

• Knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician.
• Strong anesthesia skills.
• Strong phlebotomy skills.
• Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Nice To Haves

• RVT with Speciality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculates all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
