About The Position

Skilled Wound Care is hiring Internal Medicine Physicians in Nashville, TN to work as wound care physicians and lead wound care initiatives in skilled nursing facilities across the area. This role offers a refreshing alternative to traditional Internal Medicine practice, focusing on wound care without the demands of night shifts, high patient censuses, or after-hours messages. The position provides clinical autonomy, utilizes custom software to reduce administrative time, and allows physicians to follow patients through their healing process.

Requirements

• Medical Degree: MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Medical License: Unrestricted/clear medical license in the state of practice (or eligibility to obtain one)
• DEA License: Or eligibility to obtain one
• Open Background: We welcome Internal Medicine physicians and hospitalists, as well as Family Medicine physicians and surgeons of all backgrounds. No previous wound care or procedural experience is required; we provide comprehensive wound care training

Responsibilities

• Use the latest advancements in wound healing to change lives in communities across Nashville, TN
• Surgical and sharp debridement and other bedside procedures
• Evaluation and treatment of chronic, non-healing and complex wounds
• Management of the underlying conditions that affect wound healing
• Advanced dressings and specialized wound protocols
• Collaborative care in skilled nursing facilities and the post-acute setting, where you follow patients through healing
