About The Position

Posterity Group LLC is seeking Board Certified Internal Medicine Physicians to staff The VA North Texas HCS - Tyler Centennial VA Clinic. The physicians will provide independent care delivery for chronic and acute medical needs to the Veteran population, managing common diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, COPD, and mental health disorders. Key responsibilities include ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, consulting with specialists, and utilizing electronic medical records. A major focus is on preventive medicine, improving care coordination, and achieving positive patient outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an approved school.
  • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completed residency training, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • At least 3 years of experience.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide independent care delivery for chronic, acute/same day medical needs for the Veteran population.
  • Write orders for diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, and consult with specialty services.
  • Utilize computerized/electronic medical records.
  • Perform Health Risk Assessments, goal setting for prevention, and chronic diseases management.
  • Focus on preventive medicine to achieve positive patient outcomes, improve care coordination, decrease clinic waits, and ensure appropriate resource utilization.
  • Provide direct patient care including history and physicals, medication management, evaluation of diagnostic tests, and treatment planning.
  • Function as a leader in the PACT approach, emphasizing team-based healthcare.
  • Oversee PACTs compliance to Message Manager, MyHealtheVet, and encounter completion.
  • Utilize Tele-Health for home visits (VA Video Connect) and provide Comprehensive Women’s Health care.
  • Document all medical information in electronic medical records.
  • Perform medication reconciliation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
